The World will be united in peace, The internet will be a gateway for people to walk into virtual worlds while they connect with their conciousness thanks to a biotech nanochip called the ebrain. Artificial intelligence will be working for us. On the Ynet (A new created world wide web that is million times faster than today) VIA (virtual intelligence image) Will guide us through the complexity of those virtual real worlds.

Intriguing question..please tell me we won't still be using gasoline for our cars..oil heating for the houses.. I predict a revolution in the field of combustible energy: oil, coal. We will have adopted the trash energy solution similar to what was featured in back to the future movies. I just wish we'd hurry up with it cuz we're running out of room for garbage disposal!

the bit about geeks getting annoyed about stopping mid sentence is not true. i'm not like that at all if you want something explaining in plain english i'm glad to do it. if i dont hit the target, i'll try again. not all geeks are the same.

trust me, i know, i've met all types.

I agree wholeheartedly with your point on the "thrill of tackling new challenges" and the need for help from people who have already solved the problem.

Reminds me of my undergrad days, sitting in the computer lab with fellow Comp Sci students far into the night, trying to solve the puzzle of how to get a program to do what the assignment said it was supposed to do!

It's been a while since I posted this and I feel like I've come along way from that "entry level job making copies". I've been working at my education in computer science at Johnson & Wales, networking aggressively with professionals in the field here in RI, and pursuing my own independent projects. I've been promoted to a clerk position at the company where I work, so I am literally not making copies any more. I would take back the frustrated tone of this article and say it's never too late - although I still believe your philosophy is what makes the difference between achieving and stagnating.
