In 1938 they took a shot at predicting what it would be like in 2008 – and here we are, so now it’s our turn. What will the world be like in 2058? Since that’s so wide open, I’m going to put out a few seed questions:
Will we have figured out how to positively affect the global environment, like patch up the hole in the ozone and moderate, if not reverse, global warming?
Will we have started opting for computer implants by then (I know people are always talking about this jokingly, but might it happen)?
Will telephone poles still be around?
Will we have ID numbers instead of last names? Hi my name’s Sara 902-85396.
What will be the dominant language on the planet, and will there still be lots of different languages?
Intriguing question..please tell me we won’t still be using gasoline for our cars..oil heating for the houses.. I predict a revolution in the field of combustible energy: oil, coal. We will have adopted the trash energy solution similar to what was featured in back to the future movies. I just wish we’d hurry up with it cuz we’re running out of room for garbage disposal!
The World will be united in peace, The internet will be a gateway for people to walk into virtual worlds while they connect with their conciousness thanks to a biotech nanochip called the ebrain. Artificial intelligence will be working for us. On the Ynet (A new created world wide web that is million times faster than today) VIA (virtual intelligence image) Will guide us through the complexity of those virtual real worlds.
